Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed into law numerous measures that will boost employee rights in California effective Jan. 1. Among them: SB 616 will increase the number of paid sick days employers must provide.
The Delaware Court of Chancery has addressed numerous important issues including officer oversight obligations, enforceability of restrictive covenants, intent for voting proxies to bind subsequent holder, potential conflicts in SPAC, reporting under the Corporate Transparency Act.
Now, if recently introduced legislation finds support, those exceptions may be tightened further still. And employers and counsel would be subject to special penalties for violations.
