The ANC in the Eastern Cape has been accused of hijacking a function to mark the handing over of a new community hall in the Raymond Mhlaba municipality. The Dispatch has seen a copy of an ANC Letsema programme poster bearing provincial party secretary Lulama Ngcukayitobi’s photo and alerting people that he would be leading various activities in the region, including “the official handover of Gqadushe Community Hall” in ward 14.
The long turnaround time for provincial ambulances to be serviced or repaired at government garages has been flagged as a key cause of the shortage of ambulances, and the failure by emergency services teams to respond on time. Sometimes such delays have dire consequences and people lose loved ones while waiting for an ambulance for hours on end.
