The Minister of Punjab Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department Raja Rashid Hafeez has said that the government is committed to 100% literacy rate; however, without the partnership of the private sector we cannot turn the dream into reality.

AIOU Launches Virtual Teachers Training Academy Portal Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has established a Virtual Teachers Training Academy Portal at the Lahore Regional Centre for teachers across Pakistan. The portal has been developed in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the non-profit corporation ALIGHT, Pakistan. The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of AIOU, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum, addressed the inaugural ceremony of the portal on Tuesday and said that the initiative would help to eradicate the physical barriers obstructing the professional growth of teachers. ALSO READ The chief guest at the ceremony, Punjab’s Minister for Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education, Raja Rashid Hafeez, said that he is hopeful that the portal will benefit teachers in remote areas by equipping them with advanced didactic skills and innovative content knowledge.
