Zahara releases new single inspired by her pain Updated

‘Nyamezela’, which means to persevere, is the lead single off her upcoming album, ‘Nqaba Yam’.
It was released on Friday, 7 May.
The SAMA award-winning singer lost her elder sister Nomonde Mkutukana in March.

The death of her sister comes a few years after she lost her little brother, who was gunned down in a gang fight.

Award-winning Eastern Cape singer and songwriter Zahara is mourning the death of yet another sibling.
Her older sister, Nomonde Mkutukana, was killed at the weekend in a freak accident when she leapt into the path of a minibus taxi just outside East London.

The talented artist has lost her eldestâs sister Nomonde Mkutukana (45) to a tragic car crash.
According to the family, the accident happened around the Mooiplaas area in East London, Eastern Cape.
Shortly after the news of the accident, heartbroken Zahara took to Instagram to share a heart felt message.
âSo yesterday was my last time seeing your face when you were at work yhini Masthathu mntakamama. I canât even cry because in my heart youâre still alive. Lala Ndebe Nkulu kaTata,â she said.

Nomonde Mkutukana, one part of gospel trio Mkutukana Sisters, which released an album in 2016, and sister to award-winning singer and songwriter Bulelwa Zahara Mkutukana, was killed in a tragic road accident on Saturday morning in Mooiplaas.
Mkutukana leaves behind two children, four siblings, and the close-knit community of Phumlali Village in the Eastern Cape.
Mkutukana previously paid tribute to her sister’s influence and impact on her career. “Music runs in our blood. We used music to heal people. My sister Zahara inspired me to give hope to others. I want to leave a legacy of hope and dreams,” she had said.
