Niño Raymond B. Alvina, Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) executive director, released last month the top 10 provinces, cities, and municipalities in local revenue generation for fiscal year 2019.
BLGF bases selection in different performance areas, namely Nominal Locally Sourced Revenues (LSR), Collection Efficiency (CE) of LSR, and Year-On-Year Growth in LSR.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez commended the city treasurer’s office headed by Dr. Anthony Pulmano for collecting beyond the target in 2019 and for their excellent performance in tax collection for the past six years.
“Since my first term in office, Pulmano and his team has introduced several innovative business processing system and tax reform measures in which the city became top in terms [of] revenue collection,” Olivarez said.
