BERNARDS TWP. â While the pandemic has caused problems for organizers of some holiday events, itâs also created opportunities for others still hoping to stage fun but safe community activities.
Among the local innovations this year are events where families can experience the sights and sounds of the season without leaving their vehicles.
One such event will be held in Basking Ridge, where volunteers are creating a drive-through âFestival of Lightsââ at the historic Ross Farm at 135 North Maple Ave.
Scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on two weekends, Saturday and Sunday Dec. 19-20 and 26-27, the event will be free to the community, with donations accepted for local veterans in need.
