The Supertech Twin Towers in Noida were demolished today in a massive explosion. Over 3,700 kg of explosives were used to bring the two towers down, resulting in a sea of smoke and debri engulfing the area.
These twin towers were located at the ‘Supertech Emerald Court’ housing society Sector 93A in Noida. For the demolition, around 3,700 kg of explosives - a mix of dynamite, emulsions and plastic explosives - was used.
The Supertech twin towers, also known as Apex and Ceyane towers, were turned into debris following the order of Supreme Court, which said that illegal construction has to be dealt with strictly to ensure compliance with the rule of law.
Noida twin tower demolition: The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) had installed six machines to measure the ambient noise and the figures of the three places closest to the twin towers were taken for this measurement, officials said.
