Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC) on Thursday, handed over the keys of a Tata Magic Express Ambulance to Arun Vir Singh CEO Yumuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) along with five oxygen concentrators for the help of Covid patients.
NOIDA: Microsoft India Research Ltd has given 125 oxygen concentrators of 5-litre capacity to Noida Authority under their CSR drive. The authority has given 30 such oxygen concentrators to Child PGI which is being ramped up as a 100 bed Covid hospital for children in anticipation of the third wave.
Also, the Bhangel CHC (community health centre), which is set to become a 100 bed L1 Covid facility, will get 30 oxygen concentrators.

NOIDA: Businesses worldwide have been battered by the Covid-induced economic crisis, but for the garment exporters in Noida and Greater Noida these are the worst of times. They claim to be fast losing business to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Vietnam “over 20% orders have already been diverted to these countries”.
With most factories now left with 40-50% workers, the Noida Apparel Export Cluster (NAEC) has claimed that international buyers are placing orders with other Asian countries. Some apparel manufacturers have been making PPE kits as a stopgap measure, but exporters claim they cannot sustain without major international orders. Noida and Greater Noida together have around 3,000 garment manufacturing units.
