14:28 | Lima, Jun. 9. Candidate Pedro Castillo (Peru Libre) obtained 50.200% of votes in Peru s presidential runoff election, followed by Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular) with 49.800% out of 99.820% of records processed by the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE).
According to ONPE s latest report, Castillo has received 8,742,233 votes, while his contender, Fujimori, has 8,672,587.
So far, there are 17,414,820 valid votes, 120,179 blank votes, and 1,061,071 invalid votes, bringing the total of ballots cast to 18,596,070.
ONPE s reports summarizing the results of the runoff election will be updated every half hour.
