Cop s brother shot in head, left for dead in Rio Claro forest

3 Hrs Ago A police officer’s brother was shot in the head and left for dead in a forest in Rio Claro last Friday. The dead Rio Claro man was identified as 49-year-old Radesh “Chook Chook” Kumar. Police said on Friday, at about 10 pm, Kumar was in a hammock at a camp in the forests off Noel Trace, Legendre Road, Ecclesville, Rio Claro with other people. He got into an argument with someone else at the campsite and was shot in the head. Police believe he was then dragged from the campsite and his body dumped in the forest about four miles off Noel Trace.

St Joseph to Tunapuna without water after pipeline rupture

He has been identified as Josh Baptiste of Caimain Road, St Joseph. The Express was told that around 11.35 p.m. Baptiste was outside his father’s home along Second Private Road, Mt D’Or, when relatives heard gunshots. Upon investigating, they found Baptiste lying on the roadway in a pool of blood. Even as the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines begins tomorrow, T&T has recorded 42 new cases. There is now a total of 385 active positive cases and 145 deaths, the Ministry of Health said in yesterday’s daily update. At present, there are 33 patients in hospital. Two police officers attached to the Scarborough Police Station have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past week.
