Dozens of heartfelt messages have been left in honour of a popular former Dublin Fire Brigade member who passed away recently.
Retired firefighter Noel Monaghan, who served between 1971 and 2009, was described as a “stalwart of C Watch” by colleagues in a moving tribute.
“It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of Noel,” a post on the Dublin Fire Brigade’s Twitter account reads. “Our thoughts are with his family, particularly his sons Ken and Trevor, both serving members.”
On his death notice on RIP.ie, it says that Noel who lived in Kilmanagh, passed away peacefully on February 2, “in the wonderful care of the staff of the Coronary Care Unit at Tallaght University Hospital and in the presence of his loving family”.
