High-speed pursuit ends in Caldwell after speeds reach 120 mph on I-77

CALDWELL A Lowell woman who led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit through portions of two counties including a brief time when she drove the wrong way into oncoming traffic on Interstate 77, was arrested after crashing the vehicle in Caldwell.
A Noble County sheriff s deputy was able to force the suspect s vehicle off the road into a parking lot after she left the highway, and she then drove over a steep embankment bringing the chase to an end.
“The driver of the fleeing vehicle, throughout this incident, showed a complete disregard for the safety of others on the roadway, said Noble County Sheriff Jason Mackie. A head-on crash in this situation would have surely proved fatal to all involved.
