Razorbacks Jordan West and Wayne Pinnock each successfully defended SEC Outdoor titles in the shot put and long jump, respectively, on Friday during the second day of the conference meet held at Bernie Moore Stadium.
The first day of the SEC Outdoor Championships included points for No. 1 Arkansas in the 10,000m with its lone entrant, Myles Richter, placing fourth at Bernie Moore Stadium on Thursday evening.
On a day in which the Razorback seniors were recognized at the Arkansas Twilight on Friday, quite a few of the 25 individuals honored produced some of the top performances at John McDonnell Field.
A pair of meet records in the discus and shot put were bettered by Razorbacks Ralford Mullings and Rojé Stona on Friday at the John McDonnell Invitational. Mullings won the discus with a throw of 199 feet, 2 inches, while Stona set a career best of 65 feet, 10.5 inches in the shot put.
