An entertaining MAAC Quarterfinal round saw two finishes decided on last-possession defensive stops, plus a first for St. Bonaventure.
The semifinals are set for next Wednesday, May 5. Games are streamed on WatchESPN:
No. 2 Monmouth vs. No. 6 St. Bonaventure
No. 1 Manhattan vs. No. 4 Canisius
Another first for St. Bonaventure
St. Bonaventure’s season of firsts continues.
The No. 6-seeded Bonnies upended No. 3 Detroit Mercy, 11-8, at the Marra Athletics Complex on the campus of St. Bonaventure. It was their first MAAC Tournament win in their first MAAC Tournament appearance, in a year in which the Bonnies won their first game as a program and first win in conference.
