Starting Thursday, New Hampshire parents and guardians can register their 12- to 15-year-old children for the COVID-19 vaccine on the state s website.
The move follows an FDA authorization of the Pfizer vaccine for that age group earlier this week, and a recommendation from the CDC.
Anyone under 18 needs to have consent from a parent or guardian to be vaccinated. That can be verbal consent at the time of vaccination, or it can be given electronically through a signed consent form during registration.
The state says there are plenty of appointments available, and some vaccination clinics have same day appointments.
Despite a fear of needles, 14-year-old Noa Mash of Newmarket says they are looking forward to being vaccinated.
