Bavdhan takes to ‘no-vehicle’ days

What started as a sort of self-imposed
road reform for around six residents of Bavdhan who started observing Sunday as a no-vehicle day has now garnered the attention and following of at least 150 members attached to the initiative, all of whom only use bicycles on the designated day.
They have also tied up with a bicycle sharing scheme company, which now extends the service for free to them in a bid to popularise the motivation. This has further encouraged several other people in the area to ditch their vehicle and opt for a bicycle.
