this is a no drive zone in buffalo in many surrounding communities. thousands of people without power and the governors of new york say it is not over yet. the storm is coming back. we re expecting another six to 12 inches and in the south towns of southern part of erie county, a little south of here, they had 30 to 40 inches of snow overnight so anyone who declares victory and says it s over, it is way too early to say this is at its completion of maybe the severity is down playing now and right now it s not as bad as it has been in the last couple days but still a dangerous situation to be out. reporter: now, there are also reports of looting in areas around buffalo. the sheriff of erie county saying about a dozen convenience stores have been looted. that s a problem for emergency workers who need to come in because if those stores are looted, the gas pumps don t work
about its nuclear weapons is the height of irresponsibility and goes against everything that we ve said, including that russia s said over many years about how a nuclear war is not winnable, something that was reaffirmed as recently as between the meeting between president biden and putin this summer in geneva. people keep saying, you know, world war iii, if you ask the ukrainian people and the other region, they would say we re already in world war iii. but is the u.s. response to zelenskyy s request for more jets or a no fly zone being driven out of a fear of direct confrontation with russia? again, to establish a no fly zone, you have to have a no drive zone as well because assuming you can dominate the skies, that means taking out aircraft. it means also taking out the ground support that they have. so you have a no drive zone, no fly zone. would that bring us closer to a confrontation with russia? it could. i remember when john kennedy, when president kennedy gave a speech at
shoot down russian aircraft in dog fights over the skies over ukraine. and lowest reward because most of the devastation that we re seeing in cities like kyiv and mariupol and kharkiv is not coming from the sky. it s coming from artillery on the ground, coming from rocket fire, missiles fired from the ground. so to have any impact on that a no-fly zone would immediately have to become a no drive zone with the u.s. air force firing on every russian unit they see on the ground surrounding these cities. if you re for that, okay, but be aware that the say it, be honest about the fact that you re advocating for the united states to get involved in a war directly with russia. and finally, i would say i think putin wants us to get involved in a way. the russians don t want there s no motivation in russia to be killing ukrainians. this is one reason why the russian army, i think, is slowly
