It happened at the direction of President Donald Trump, who tweeted an image of the American flag as the news broke. The U.S. Defence Department said Iranian Gen. 03 – Australia launched one of the largest evacuations in its history, as more than 200 wildfires burned across the country. The Victoria state government ordered as many as 140,000 permanent residents and tens of thousands more vacationers to leave the region before fires closed roads and trapped them.
