The eight men linked to at least nine murders and violence at the notorious Glebelands Hostel in Umlazi, south of Durban, were sentenced in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
The defence advocate representing rogue cop Bhekukwazi Mdweshu and his co-accused Ncomekile Matlale, among the eight men convicted of various offences relating to the spate of killings in Glebelands hostel in Umlazi, is calling for the court to have mercy on them.
The sentencing of eight men, including a detective, convicted of killing nine people and terrorising Glebelands Hostel in Umlazi, south of Durban, has been postponed.
