Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (
KIADB) is swift in paying compensation to owners of land that has been acquired for public purposes, it should give us pause.
Here’s why.
A Special Land Acquisition Officer of the KIADB, assigned to acquire the land for the construction of Namma Metro Station in front of Arabic College on Nagawara Main Road, has paid off compensation of approx. Rs 60 crore to about 30 squatters living on the said land.
“This despite the original land owners filing a written statement before the land acquisition officer,’’ said Nityanand V Naik who filed a writ petition in the
