LAIRDSVILLE A sewer project here will receive a $2.76 million grant through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST), according to state Sen. Gene Yaw, R-Loyalsock Township, and state Rep. Joe Hamm, R-Hepburn Township.
As part of the current round of PENNVEST loan and grant initiatives, Franklin Township will receive the grant to construct a new sanitary sewer system, as well as a new pumping station that will serve residential customers in the Village of Lairdsville.
“Lairsdville was founded in 1829 and, like many of our communities, its aging infrastructure needs significant upgrades,” Yaw said. “Even as we face difficult economic challenges due to COVID-19, we are still able to make these investments to improve residents’ lives.”
