By Lucy Morgan Audience and Content Editor The business was threatened by a planning application for a bungalow. A planning application for a bungalow on the site of a much-loved pottery in Niton High Street is to be withdrawn, the Isle of Wight Council has confirmed. The local authority has received the withdrawal request from an agent for the proposed scheme, which means the former butchers shop looks set to remain the home of Tregear Pottery. The business had just reopened after a combination of the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and illness. Objections had been lodged on the Isle of Wight Council s website and the matter had been due to be discussed by Niton and Whitwell Parish Council on June 7.
