Dr Nitin Kulkarni, IAS officer and doctor by training, and Dr Mozammil Pheroz from Ranchi Sadar Hospital gave oxygen supply to the baby using a mask meant for adults and also gave other drugs for assistance until the flight landed.
Upon landing of IndiGos Ranchi-Delhi flight a medical team swiftly provided the baby with the needed oxygen support and the baby was later shifted to AIIMS where the condition stabilised.
IAS officer Nitin Madan Kulkarni, along with another doctor, came to the aid of a six-month-old baby experiencing breathing difficulties during a flight from Ranchi to Delhi. Kulkarni, who is also a qualified medical practitioner, immediately initiated CPR and played a crucial role in saving the infant s life. The incident highlights the importance of CPR training for all individuals and demonstrates the compassion and preparedness to act in times of adversity.
