Appropriators trying to come to agreement on an overall package and what would be adequate to respond to this fast spreading outbreak. House appropriations chairwoman nita lowey told us they would be working through the weekend to wrap this up. She said they were pretty confident that lawmakers would be able to finish a bill by the end of the weekend, and the house is preparing to pass this next week. And it also appears as though the senate will take it up the following week. Its very, very fast moving and it appears like were sort of homing in on a number around somewhere in the range between 6 billion and 8 billion, but again, it seems like theres a real good faith bipartisan real good faith bipartisan effort to get this done pretty quickly in the next couple of days.
