In the wake of intensified onslaughts by suspected Kuki militants in Manipur, the government is prepared to give fitting replies. The militants have killed at least seven people, including two commandos and four villagers. The education minister stated that attacking civilians is an act of terrorism and a fitting reply will be given. Manipur has witnessed violent clashes and attacks due to ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities, resulting in numerous casualties and displacements.
