Right now, he depends on a minimum wage job, plus tips, as a bartender. And even when he moves on to better work, he knows ny wholl still depend on jobs paying near minimum wage. I have a lot of friends working in the tipped wage and minimum wage industry. A lot of them are single mom w just for themselves but for kids to provide for them. As a member of the living wage linn county group, tierney and others watched anxiously as supervisors took up the minimum wage question. Some supervisors still believe setting a minimum wage is a function of state government. But the feeling was since the state wont that hasnt been increased for almost a decade and not expect a local Government Entity not to take this up. Supervisors did make one significant change. The linn county ordinance no longer calls for automatic wage hikes based on infla
