This is the new space. It may look big, but Officials Say its going to fill up really fast. Theres 10thousand square feet here. Even so, once all the files are in place there will only be room for a handful of additional boxes. Itll be that crowded. Its a not a lot of room for growth at the new spot. Weve gone electronic. We dont have new files that have to continue to go over, so thats ok. It just makes it tight when youre moving stuff in, trying to organize it. Craig tierney hopes to finish a business and marketing degree at the university of iowa in a couple of years and believes hell have good job prospects then. Right now, he depends on a minimum wage job, plus tips, as a bartender. And even when he moves on to better work, he knows ny wholl still depend on jobs paying near minimum wage. I have a lot of friends working in the tipped wage and minimum wage industry. A lot of them are single mom w just for themselves but for kids to provide for them. As a member of the living wage linn county group, tierney and others watched anxiously as supervisors took up the minimum wage question. Some supervisors still believe setting a minimum wage is a function of state government. But the feeling was since the state wont that hasnt been increased for almost a decade and not expect a local Government Entity not to take this up. Supervisors did make one significant change.
