Editor s note: We asked Marion County residents to reflect on their pandemic experience so far. Here s the story of Nina Pieron.
Nina Pieron and her family are doing their best to adapt to the new normal of the COVID-19 pandemic. We re taking extra steps to try to stay safe, said Pieron, 37, an elementary school paraprofessional with Marion County Public Schools. Pieron s husband, Chris, is a driver/engineer with Marion County Fire Rescue and the couple have two children, ages 8 and 13. We have a routine of taking possible germ-laden shoes off at the door, washing our hands, changing clothes and taking a shower when we get home from school and work, Nina Pieron said.
