The ministerial council meeting of the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will be held virtually on 31 Mayâ1 June 2021. The meeting will focus on the economic recovery after the coronavirus pandemic and the future priorities of the OECD.
The meeting will also celebrate the 15-year work of the outgoing Secretary-General Angel GurrÃa and welcome his successor

Mika Lintilä will represent Finland at the meeting.
Lintilä will attend the meeting on 31 May when the focus will be on the lessons learned during the pandemic and the Member Statesâ priorities for economic recovery. In addition, the
Finlandâs AI course to contribute to digital skills of Europeans across the continent
Finland has published the online course Elements of AI in 21 EU countries in their languages. Latvia was the first country to launch the course in May 2020, and Spain and Slovenia the last ones in April 2021.
During its EU Presidency in December 2019, Finland decided to invest in the future skills of Europeans and to offer the Elements of AI online course to all Member States for free. The objective is to train one per cent of EU citizens in the basics of artificial intelligence, thereby strengthening digital leadership within the EU. The course was designed and organised by the University of Helsinki and Reaktor, a Finnish technology company.
