The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation is all set to take stern legal action against celebrated mountaineer Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja after he aired a fake video message about Mt. Everest.
Celebrated climber Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja, who commandeered an illegal helicopter landing at Everest high camp recently, has now faced another roadblock from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal as the aviation regulator refused to grant him a permit for skydiving in the Everest region.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has suspended senior captain of Prabhu Helicopters Sobit Gauchan, following an unauthorized flight from Kathmandu to Camp II on Mt Everest. The flight was conducted by celebrated mountaineer Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja in violation of CAAN regulations on May 19.
Celebrated climber Nirmal ‘Nims’ Purja today reportedly landed at the high camp on Mt Everest flouting the rules set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, eyewitnesses said.
