Nillumbik Mayor Peter Perkins, Yan Yean MP Danielle Green, Eltham MP Vicki Ward, along with the various user groups today attended an event to mark its official opening. Danielle Green was representing the Minister for Local Government and Suburban Development, Shaun Leane. The new pavilion and lighting upgrade, a project worth almost $1.6 million, was funded through a Victorian Government Growing Suburbs Fund (GSF) allocation and Nillumbik Shire Council. The GSF allocation was over $400,000 with Council contributing more than $1.1 million.
