Our Reporter Dimapur, July 1 (EMN): As the Commissionerate of Central Goods and Services Tax (GST), Dimapur, celebrated the GST Day on July 1, it was revealed that Nagaland generated INR 34 crore revenue in June 2022 with a growth of 11% compared to June 2021 which was INR 30 crore. According to the Ministry of Finance, Nagaland recorded GST revenue of INR 49 crore in the month of May with a growth of 67% and in April with 32%. Speaking at the celebration programme held at Hotel Saramati, the principal commissioner, K Ashi Khieya, mentioned that Nagaland has huge scope for continuous growth. According to him, there are 10,579 registered GST taxpayers in Nagaland at present, which are administered by both centre and state GST authorities. He informed that the total GST revenue collected for the state in FY 2020-21 was INR 386 crore, while for FY 2021-22 it was INR 416 crore, which saw an increase of around 8%.
