01 February 2021 | Abigail Opiah Norwegian construction company Veidekke has signed an agreement with atNorth (formerly Advania Data Centers) for the construction of a new sustainable data centre in Stockholm.
The project is a turnkey contract and will be divided into several stages. The company revealed that the first stage has a value of approximately $6.4 million (SEK 54 million) and is planned to be put into operation in December 2021.
The project, named Stockholm SWE01: SIF DC, includes the construction of a 6400 sqm data centre with an associated office.
The data centre will be located in Kista, an ICT area in Stockholm. It will be atNorth s first facility outside Iceland, where the company currently operates two modern data centres.
