OSHA renewed its two-year alliance with organizations that represent Ohio craft breweries to improve workplace safety in the industry on December 7.
OSHA is in alliance with the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, Brewers Association, Master Brewers Association of the Americas District Midwest and Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation. The purpose of the alliance is to foster programs that educate workers on possible hazards in breweries and the proper way to store, package and handle craft beer.
“OSHA is pleased to renew this alliance focused on sharing best practices and training and education both employers and workers in the growing craft brewery business to operate and work safely,” said Larry Johnson, OSHA Area Director in Columbus, Ohio.
