Worship Central are right at the forefront of the UK s current contemporary worship scene and if you only buy one worship album this year, this should really be it. Every track is a cracker, both musically and spiritually. All these songs will transfer easily to congregational worship being strong enough to do without the big production you find here, but of course, it s great to hear such a wonderful collection of uplifting and beautiful anthems sung and played with such power. The standout anthem for me is Ben Cantelon s Guardian , taken from his album Everything In Colour and here given the rock treatment with less rhythm guitar and more bass and drums. Love these lyrics. Ben closes the album too, with The Same Power , a crescendo of unashamed praise declaring the power of the resurrection is in us too! Nikki Fletcher gets to calm things down a bit with two slower numbers: Draw Me Close , beautifully arranged with piano and cello, and Dry Bones ,

Christian City Churches are an evangelical, Pentecostal church movement of over 100 churches worldwide founded by Pastors Phil and Chris Pringle. Oxford Falls was their first church, based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia and Here We Go features worship leaders and songwriters Nikki Fletcher, Joe Pringle and Ryan Smith with songs that are beginning to spread to congregations across the globe. The boys style is powerful, rock-based praise in the style of bands like Delirious?, while Nikki brings a softer electro pop vibe to her compositions. The anthemic title track made history in April 2007, entering the ARIA Australian Top 100 Singles Chart at number 37 (and number 6 on the ARIA New South Wales singles sales list!), making it the highest-selling religious pop song since 1970. Being track one on the CD it slightly overshadows the next nine tracks, but only because it s such an outstanding song. The others stand up well in their own right. The
