Lillian (Lakadia) Polasik, 98, of Dunkirk, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Dunkirk on Nov. 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Stephen (Sczepan) and Antoinette (Antonia Krylowicz) Przytula.
Lillian initially worked for the Van Raalte Co. and subsequently as a cafeteria and housekeeping employee for the Dunkirk Public School System prior to her retirement. During her later employment tenure, she established memorable and lasting friendships with much of the student body to whom she was known as “Aunt Lodzia,” an adopted moniker of endearment by which her close family always referred to her.
