The regular passengers of these services have now urged the corporation to fix the issue at the earliest and ensure that these digital boards are in sync with the real time data and information provided on the Namma BMTC application.
The bus number, usually displayed on the far left of the board, is now being displayed on the far right along with the bus-stops on the route on the left side. Many commuters welcomed the move and said that it has helped them navigate spotting the right buses.
The docking point at Baiyappanhalli metro station has already been installed and is awaiting a shelter to be constructed above. “This is super work by the BMRCL and DULT. Looking forward to the other nine also. Please inform the cycling community once it is done so we can popularise it. Brand Bengaluru is a cycling-friendly Bengaluru,” said Bicycle Mayor Sathya Sankaran on Twitter (now X).

ORR can’t get around the bollards, sand and silt gathers on the cycle lanes
Many were the accolades showered on the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (
BBMP) for building a cycle lane on most parts of the
Outer Ring Road between KR Puram and
Central Silk Board, a first-of-its-kind in the City. Alas, it seems the praise had arrived in haste. The civic body as is sometimes its wont, forgot about cleaning the cycle lane on regular basis. The result: Sand and silt has accumulated on many parts of the cycle lane, endangering the lives of cyclists.
