The police had tried to ban todays event and warned that anyone who marched through the streets could be arrested, but, as you can see, it hasnt made any difference, and you do get the feeling now that many people in this city have simply no respect for the authorities, orfor the police. This evening another stand off, with officers blocking the way to the main Chinese Government building, which was defaced in the previous demonstration. This illegal behaviour has been happening across the area and the authorities are fed up. Last weekend we had mutual aid provided by four other Police Forces and that will happen again this weekend. We have got 100 extra officers coming in from other adjacent Police Forces and of course theres a financial cost to that because we have to pay for those additional officers. There was a bit of a thrill for a group of children in norway this summer when they found a message washed up on the beach, not in a bottle, but in a tiny boat. And it turns out that the little boat had been on a big journey. It set sail ten years ago from the remote scottish island of st kilda. Its a replica of the miniature boats the islanders used to send messages to the mainland. Our scotland correspondent lorna gordon has the story. A Summer Holiday surprise from islands far across the sea. Messages not in a bottle, but in a tiny mail boat, washed ashore and discovered by children playing on a remote norwegian beach. The kids, as always, were messing around down by the water and looking for things and just playing around and they just stumbled upon this boat. They found it and look what i found and then, by coincidence, totally coincidence, they just dropped it and it opened. More people are expected to return to their work places later this morning, as the government seeks assurances from employers in england that measures are enforced to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Pupils will also begin to return to school and politicians remain divided on whether exams should be delayed next year, because of the lingering effects of the lockdown on school work. Heres our political correspondent, nick eardley. This week, these classrooms will start filling up again. Many children will be back at school for the First Time Since march, as england takes another big step moving out of the coronavirus shut down. Its a big political test for the government, which has made education its key priority. And in number ten, there was increasing confidence that most pupils will return in the coming days. The focus now has got to be getting those schools reopened, allowing them to reopen safely, getting parents to have the confidence for their children to return to school.
