hello, and welcome to bbc world news. police in california have entered a vehicle that was involved in a stand off with a person who they say could be the gunman that killed ten people in a dance club in monterey park on saturday night. police vehicles had hemmed in a white transit van in a car park 50 kilometres from the scene of the mass shooting. the attack happened at a dance venue in monterey park, around seven miles east of los angeles city centre. the motive for the attack remains unclear. peter bowes reports. the injured, being taken to hospital, at the scene of another mass shooting. a ballroom in this predominantly asian community, on the outskirts of los angeles. the police say when officers arrived, people were pouring out onto the street. many were screaming. ten were pronounced dead at the scene, five men and five women. at least ten others were taken to hospital. this is the suspect, described by the police as an asian man, aged between 30 and 50. he fled the s
