The lawmakers said though the undocumented Nigerians in Diaspora are outside the mandate of NIDCOM, the government cannot afford to ignore them because they are still citizens of the country.
Nigerians on Twitter have continued to lambast the Chairman of the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission, (NiDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa over her stereotypical comment on Nigerians residing in Indonesia. On Monday, it was earlier reported that Dabiri-Erewa came under the spotlight over a Twitter reply where she called a Twitter user, “Ode”, a loose Yoruba word for an idiot. SaharaReporters had also reported that Dabiri-Erewa assured Nigerian students in India of their safety, claiming that the Indian authorities had signed a written commitment to protect them.
