Justice Adenike Akinpelu of the Kwara State High Court on Wednesday convicted a 29-year-old internet fraudster, Ademola Adebukola alias “Holy Ghost” to one-year imprisonment on four counts of cheating and attempt to cheat.
A Grade I Area Court in Kubwa, Abuja, on Tuesday, ordered that a 23-year old hairstylist, Gift Paul, who allegedly beat up her former husband be remanded in a correctional facility.

The Police on Friday arraigned husband and wife, Asaolu Sheu (65) and Asaolu Jemilat (45), before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged possession of Indian hemp.
The defendants, of unknown addresses, are facing a charge of illegal possession of Indian hemp.
The prosecutor, Inspector Oriyomi Akinwale, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on January 14 at about 2:00 p.m. in Igbara-Odo Ekiti.
Mr. Akinwale alleged that the defendants had in their possession large quantity of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
He said that the offence contravenes Section 5(b) of the Indian Hemp Act 1966.
The prosecutor asked the court for an adjournment to enable him study the case file and assemble his witnesses.
Justice Jane Inyang of the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has sentenced Felix David Diete to four years imprisonment, for stealing N2 million from customers of First City Monument Bank (FCMB).
A 36-year-old man, Peter Moses has been ordered to be remanded in prison by a Chief Magistrate court sitting in Ore, Ondo State for allegedly raping and impregnating his daughter.
