Female students of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) in Minna, Niger State have begged both the federal and state governments to provide free sanitary pads for secondary school girls. According to some of the girls, the inability to purchase the pads during their menstrual period had forced them to resort to the use of clothes and tissues. They made the appeal after a ‘Pad A Girl’ Campaign organized by Media Mentors Network in collaboration with Succeeding Against All Odds and Niger State chapter of the Network of Reproductive Health Journalists of Nigeria (NRHJN) to commemorate the World Menstrual Hygiene Day.

NDE trains 50 unemployed youths on environmental beautification in Niger NDE trains 50 unemployed youths on environmental beautification in Niger Share National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Niger State, has begun the training of about 50 unemployed beneficiaries under the Special Public Works Department on Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS). The Director-General of the Agency, Alhaji Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, stated this on Tuesday in Minna at the Official Orientation ceremony, adding that the training on Plaster Of Paris (POP) was going on simultaneously in all the states of the federation including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Represented by Mrs Francisca Eze Ako from the NDE’s headquarters in Abuja, Fiko explained that each of the local government councils will benefit from the skill acquisition programme and charged them to make use of the opportunity.

Views: Visits 42 Ahead of 2023 presidency, former Vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has inaugurated Atiku Support Groups across the 36 states of the Federation. The Atiku Support Group was launched in Abuja under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Kabir Babawo as Director General and Atiku Aminu Mohammed as Chairman of the organization. The mission of the Organization is to project the former Vice-President’s visionary idea of sustainable national development as he prepares to formally declare his intention to contest the 2023 Presidential election. According to The Nation, the North-Central coordinator, Hon Anngu Orngu said, he accepted the appointment whole heartedly to join the Atiku Support Organization (ASO) because of the Visionary mindset the former vice president has for the country and Nigerian Youths.
