Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested two drug dealers, Martins Okwor Ejiofor and Bala Mohammed with a total of 24.450 kilograms of assorted substances meant to be delivered in Gwada, Shiroro Local Government of Niger State where bandits in the neighbouring forest buy their illicit drugs.
Gwada has one of the two functional markets bordering the forest where bandits and kidnappers hibernate in Niger State. Drugs seized from the suspects include Codeine – 7.100kg, Diazepam – 6.400kg, and Exol 5 – 10.950kg.
Kwara State NDLEA Command’s Highway Patrol Team along Okolowo (Ilorin) – Jebba Highway intercepted the consignment in a Hiace bus, with registration number: Niger 14 B.40NG, belonging to Niger State Transport Authority on Saturday 5th June 2021.

Freshly baked cakes made with cannabis sativa (marijuana) were recovered by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in a raid on some eateries in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
Also recovered were some assorted psychotropic substances weighing 48.7 kilogrammes.
According to a statement on Monday by the spokesman of the anti-drug agency, Femi Babafemi, some of the drug joints raided within the Jos metropolis included KNL Lounge located along Lamingo road and another branch along Mining Quarters, Rantya Low Cost Estate, as well as Tuscany Lounge on Azaki Avenue.
He said besides the drugged cakes called brownie recovered from the three eateries, psychotropic substances also seized from the eateries included: Barcadin Codeine 14 kilogrammes, Flunitrazapem 355.5 grammes; Tramadol 370.1 grammes; Exol 5.30 kilogrammes; Diazepam 2.5 kilogrammes and Pentazocine 1.5 kilogrammes; all totalling 48.7 kilogrammes.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have raided some eateries in Jos, Plateau State and recovered freshly baked cakes made with Cannabis Sativa.
In a statement on Monday, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, said additional 48.726 kg of assorted psychotropic substances were recovered, NAN reports.
He added that some of the drug joints raided included KNL Lounge located along Lamingo Road and another branch along Mining Quarters, Rantya Low-Cost estate, as well as Tuscany Lounge on Azaki Ave, all within Jos metropolis.

A suspected fake security agent, Mr. Basiru Ibrahim, who specialised in trafficking illicit drugs from Benin Republic through Lagos State to Sokoto State, has been arrested with 280 kilogrammes of skunk and Diazepam in the North-west state.
The suspect was caught at about 8.30pm on April 3 conveying 140kg of skunk and another 140kg of Diazepam in his personal Peugeot 406 saloon car with registration number Lagos KSF 60 BE at Kingakwai checkpoint, Kamba, Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to the state Commander of the NDLEA, Peter Odaudu, the claim by the suspect who is 38-year-old to being a senior official of the Sokoto State Command of a law enforcement agency is still being investigated.
