IKEA Southeast Asia and Ikano Centres call for separate media pitches Details 12 January 2021
IKEA has called for a Southeast Asia media pitch covering Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The appointment is for three years in each of the markets and the agency will manage media buying for online and offline media. The incumbent on the Southeast Asia account is Vizeum which was appointed in 2015. Head of marketing for IKEA Southeast Asia, Nigel Richardson, told
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that it is tendering the media buying account in each of its markets and the company is open to having one agency cover more than one market. We aim to secure the best service in each of the markets, he added.

In its latest campaign launching the new new EFTERTRÄDA streetwear and accessories collection, the brand worked with creative agency TBWA\ Singapore to execute a guerilla-style photo shoot around Chinatown featuring talents in their 70’s. These new segment of brand influencers:
glam-mas and
glam-pas, as IKEA labells them, not only cut through the clutter in the Singapore ad scene receiving praise from netizens, but also caught the eye of the global CMO of Burger King Fernando Machado - known for leading out of the box campaign executions for the Burger King brand.

IKEA’s EFTERTRÄDA streetwear and accessories collection has arrived in Singapore, and is being promoted via a new TBWA Singapore campaign.
EFTERTRÄDA is IKEA’s first ever merchandising collection line outside of home furnishings that includes streetwear (t-shirts and hoodies) as well as bath towels, water bottles and canvas totes.
When it came to launching the streetwear range in Singapore, IKEA wanted to introduce a new brand of influencer to go with it. One that communicates “Style for all”.
IKEA believed that timeless style should be democratic.
To do this, IKEA tapped onto the rising trend of over 70’s “glam-mas and glam-pas” taking social media by storm with their effortless and timeless style.
