chased down a man and beat after police say they chased down a man and beat him to death. i m brian bolter. and i m shawn yancy. police say it all started when ali mohammed threw a brick through the club window and when it was all over he lay dying. fox 5 s wisdom martin is outside the club with new details. reporter: just a couple hours ago police posted this sign on the club officially closing it until further notice. as the investigation continues, police chief cathy lanier says that what happened to the victim in this case after he threw something through this window was a savage beating. he was very nice. he was a humble person and a loving family person. reporter: the family of silver spring resident ali mohammed say they are still trying to understand yes was killed after going to the dc9 why he was killed after going to the dc9 club. i was driving to work, but unfortunately we got a bad call. when i come home i heard that ali was killed on u street.
