After the ongoing consolidation, the index is likely to march towards the next hurdle at 22,400-22,500 area on the higher side given the positive sentiment, while the key support will be at 21,875 level, experts said.
The options data indicated that the 21,000 is expected to remain a crucial resistance level as crossing of the same can take the Nifty 50 towards 21,200 levels, with immediate support at 20,900.
Based on the OI percentage, 75 stocks saw long unwinding, including Balrampur Chini Mills, National Aluminium Company, Delta Corp, SAIL, and Container Corporation of India.
A long build-up was seen in 83 stocks, which included Container Corporation of India, Mahanagar Gas, IndiaMART InterMESH, MCX India, and Tata Power Company.
