Northampton magistrates fined seven people a total of £1,760 for various Covid-19 offences at a hearing last week.
One of the seven, Andrew Painter, landed a £688 court bill for participating in a gathering of two or more people
TWICE in November last year.
Three were fined £220 each for failing to wear face coverings on buses and three more for not wearing face coverings in shops.
Anybody found breaching Covid-19 regulations has been liable for a £200 fixed penalty notice since September last year although that is reduced to £100 if paid within 14 days. Those who do not pay within 28 days face being taken to court.
