Wolves stymie Warriors on second straight day (4/7/2021)
Senior Sam Kohnle reached the 200-hit mark for his career with a base hit in the opening inning, but the Winona State University (WSU) baseball team ran into another round of tough Northern State University (NSU) pitching on Saturday, April 3, falling to the Wolves 6-1 in the third and final game of the series.
Warriors’ batters were unable to solve NSU’s Seth Brewer, who pitched seven standout innings, earning the win over Winona State in the process. Brewer held WSU to just four hits and one run while striking out 10.
For the Warriors, four different pitchers took the hill in the game, with Dillon Whittaker getting the start.
