The University of Arkansas defense set the tone once again at Tuesday’s morning practice, with a dominating performance during “fastball starts” that was fast for only one side of the ball.
Dominique Johnson has had a tough go of it at Arkansas since busting out in 2021 with 575 rushing yards and a team-high seven rushing touchdowns while taking the starter’s reins from Trelon Smith.

The second-year assistant completely swapped out his first four during fastball starts, sending out a unit of ends Trajan Jeffcoat and Zach Williams and tackles Cam Ball and Anthony “Tank” Booker.
During Friday’s first workout of camp, also in spider pads, shorts and helmets, the first group was composed of ends Landon Jackson and Jashaud Stewart and tackles Taurean Carter and Eric Gregory.
That same foursome went out first on Saturday after fastball starts when the unit was repping plays in group drills.
