Cumbria County Council is pleased to announce that Moresby Parish Council is now responsible for Walkmill Community Woodland. The parish council, alongside Walkmill Community Woodland Activity Group and the West Cumbria Rivers Trust, made an application to the county council for a Community Asset Transfer (CAT) to take on responsibility for managing and developing the site. And it s good news for Moresby, as the 99-year-lease has been officially approved.
