APS Group has boosted its team with another senior hire by taking on a former Communisis executive.
Herridge: “one of the most experienced senior executives in the customer communications space”
David Herridge has joined the Stockport-headquartered group as executive director of its customer communication business.
He was previously the group development director and then managing director at Communisis, and spent seven years at that business having joined from key client Lloyds Banking Group.
APS praised Herridge’s 30-plus years of experience in transactional print, marketing services and outsourcing and described him as “one of the most experienced senior executives in the customer communications space”.

David Herridge, the former Managing Director of Communisis, has joined APS Group as Executive Director of its communications business.
He left Communisis earlier this month after 7 years as MD, prior to that he held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group, TNT, Anacomp and Microgen plc.
“It’s a great time to be joining the APS Group, working alongside a brilliant executive team that is already in place alongside some new familiar faces. This coupled with the ongoing investment to the customer communications business shows a real commitment in the current climate from the Group,” said Herridge.
Last month, APS appointed Tony Massey, another former Communisis exec, in a similar position.

APS Group has strengthened its senior management team, with the hire of Tony Massey as Executive Director.
Massey joins the Cheshire-based marketing services company, with more than 25 years’ experience having previously been VP International Business Development at InnerWorkings, during his career, he s also held the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer role at HH Global, and Group Business Development Director at Communisis.
“I’m really excited to be joining APS, it’s a dynamic business that has successfully expanded into Europe and the US as well as diversifying into agency, digital and retail services, to complement its print, data and fulfilment offerings,” he said.

Massey: foundations built by APS are a great platform for expansion
Massey has spent more than 25 years working in what has now become marketing services, in a range of senior positions.
He was sales director at Alistair McIntosh in the mid-1990s and went on to work at Williams Lea after it acquired the AliMac business in 2002. He subsequently spent a decade at HH Global, where he was chief sales and marketing officer, prior to joining US-headquartered InnerWorkings in 2015 as vice president of international business development.
HH Global acquired InnerWorkings in July 2020, with the deal greenlighted in September.
